Hendrik-Jan van Duijn

Education and experience

Hendrik-Jan completed his HBO education as an Accountant Administration Consultant in 1998 with full certification. In 2001 he graduated from Leiden with a Master’s degree in Tax Law. Since 2002 he has belonged to the order of Dutch tax advisers. Hendrik-Jan started at BDO and shifted to PwC four years later. In 2008 he moved to New York to work as a tax consultant.

Ambition and career

In New York, Hendrik-Jan advised American and Canadian companies that wanted to develop or streamline investments in or via the Netherlands. Thanks to all this experience during 15 years in the field of Dutch corporate income tax and dividend tax in cross-border matters, Hendrik-Jan has built up a respectable track record. In 2011, he founded DTS Duijn’s Tax Solutions. This has grown into a successful tax consultancy through legal and accountancy expertise. By approaching complex matters both numerically and legally, DTS provides high-quality advice. In addition, Hendrik-Jan is a co-founder of Doing Business and of Pro-tp, which offers (inter)national transfer pricing advice. He also writes for the IBFD as an experienced specialist in international tax law.
